Univ. of Tampa fights losing battle over recognition of Jewish fraternity Alpha Epsilon Pi (AEPi)
The University of Tampa (UT), an elite private university, finds itself in a no-win situation fighting a battle over acceptance of Alpha Epsilon Pi (AEPi), a well-known, international Jewish fraternity. According to the ‘Jewish Press‘ in Tampa, both sides are at an impasse. Things deteriorated rapidly in less than a year. The university’s newspaper, the ‘Minaret’ ran a story in January, 2011 stating, “Alpha Epsilon Pi (AEPi) is the first Jewish fraternity on campus.
